Our summer wedding season kicked off this past weekend, and what a way to get the ball rolling!
Nick and Marlie reached out to us back in 2016 (it feels like ages ago!) for their wedding day in the Ganaraska Forest. We were so stoked to shoot their forest ceremony, and the day finally arrived!
When we reached the Ganaraska Forest Centre, we started the day by visiting Marlie and her lovely ladies as they had their hair and makeup done. Just down the next hallway, Nick and the groomsmen spent that last couple hours before the wedding teasing each other and having a few drinks. Once ties were tied, and the dress was laced, we made our way down into the forest where the wedding ceremony was taking place. The site was perfect, from the canopy of trees, the pretty wooden benches, and the incredible floral arrangements that decorated the top of the aisle, which was done by Marlie’s incredibly talented mother! (Seriously! Can you believe what a gorgeous job she did?! It’s perfection!) After a short and sweet ceremony, we did family portraits by the creek and then made our way out of the forest for the rest of the wedding portraits! Then it was time for the party to get started! Guests serenaded the couple for kisses, dinner was served, and speeches were given– then Marlie made it clear that it was time to get on the dance floor! After the First Dance and the Parent Dances, the floor got packed with family and friends ready to party!
Congratulations Marlie and Nick!
Special thanks go out to Tanya with Marguerite Studios for second shooting with me!
