It feels like we are truly living in the land of ice and snow up here in Labrador! Our snowbanks are as tall as Trevor, the (5- and 6-foot) fences have completely disappeared, and the kids have to be very careful walking on top of the snow for fear of going through and not being able to get out! And we love it. Now, anyone who knows me might find that surprising, because I don’t usually love winter! But there’s something different about winter here in Happy Valley – Goose Bay– it’s beautiful, and peaceful, and so much fun. To keep any wintertime blues at bay we’ve been embracing the snow and cold, by snowshoeing, skating, and skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. And thank goodness we are loving it, because all this snow isn’t going anywhere any time soon!
